In addition to traditional, general gynecology clinics, we also offer the following specialized clinics:
Urgent gynecology clinic:
We use a “1st available” provider model our goal is to see patients with gynecology conditions that require urgent attention within 7 days of referral. The clinic runs weekly by our gynecology team to meet this goal.
Pelvic organ prolapse clinic:
Patients with pelvic organ prolapse are initially seen by our specialist prolapse nurse for triage, prolapse education and to discuss conservative management options such as pelvic floor physiotherapy and pessary care. An initial nurse assessment ensures that patients are seen soon after referral and that management can be started, even before they are seen by a gynecologist. This clinic also performs pessary fittings and provides long-term pessary care
Sexual health clinic:
Dr. Blouw has a sub-speciality sexual health clinic for conditions such as dyspareunia, libido dysfunction/mismatch, orgasm/ejaculation dysfunction, erectile dysfunction and porn habituation.
PAP test and IUD clinic:
Our family physicians run a weekly clinic to place IUDs, Nexplanons and to conduct PAP testing. Patients can self refer, or referrals can be through their primary care provider.
